Neigh Bridge River Enhancement Project

River enhancement of the River Thames at Neigh Bridge for water voles: The project will involve works to enhance habitat and protect the River Thames in order to; • establish better aquatic & marginal vegetation • allow water vole to expand their range upstream • protect kingfisher nesting habitat • enhance the river for brown trout These works will include bank reinforcement works, installing fencing, shade reduction via pollarding / crown raising of trees and installing Large Woody Debris deflectors
