Nercwys School Community Garden

Groundwork will be working in partnership with Nercwys school to coordinate the development of an outdoor community garden area at the school. This garden will be used by the children as part of their lessons as well as local community groups. Groundwork will also run volunteer sessions with members of the community and the school, assisting them to gain practical skills in construction such as constructing a bog garden, building raised beds, benches and laying footpaths. The project will include an outdoor classroom, in which the children will be able to develop an appreciation of the environment and be introduced to healthy living.
