Nettlefold Educational Allotment Area, Moor Pool Heritage Trust, West Midlands

In 2018 a group of Moor Pool Heritage Trust volunteers transformed an abandoned allotment within Moor Pool, a Garden Suburb, converting it into an educational allotment offering regular sessions for the aged, schools and the young. The aim of the project is to develop a neighbouring patch of land (owned by the Trust) and to grow the lower half of this area to become a dedicated Educational Allotment Area to provide a gardening programme for the community, local school children and the elderly.
