Networks for Nectar

Networks for Nectar will improve biodiversity by restoring and conserving small, species-rich grasslands – field corners and non-agricultural land – to link up with our best wildflower meadows and provide a haven for invertebrates. This is a partnership project with the Forest of Bowland AONB and local volunteers who will be involved in meadow management, seed harvesting/propagating, and planting plug plants. Volunteers will be trained to assist the project officer in identifying, surveying and monitoring sites. The project will operate throughout the AONB, wherever sites have been identified by our surveyors or where owners have approached us.
