New Changing and Social Facilities

This project is to re-purpose a large integral storage garage into two new changing rooms and erect a new crown green bowling hut at Coombs Wood Sports and Social Club.

The new changing rooms will be designed for female, junior, and disability use. Each will accommodate eleven people, have three cubicle showers, and accessibility features such as wheelchair friendly doors, grab rails, and lever style taps/flushes. The new bowling hut will offer a watertight, warm shelter to the bowlers who use the facilities, most of whom are elderly.

The project will enhance the changing and social facilities for elderly, female, junior, and mobility challenged users and community members, which in turn will allow more junior and female cricket teams which will increase physical activity.
