New Children’s Play Area for Selborne Recreation Ground

This project will provide a new children’s play area for Selborne Recreation Ground. Key features of the shortlisted designs include:
• innovative design and not just a replacement • better flow and utilisation of the available space within the existing footprint; • responds well to the community consultation: several different pieces of equipment, a range of play activities; targeted at 2-11 years; and height based play across the age ranges; • tactile carvings and splashes of colour that encourage imaginative play; • better fit to the beautiful rural setting and South Downs National Park location; • longer life through better design of equipment/better materials and warranty provision
