New Coaching and Player Development Facility

To construct a bespoke training, player development and coaching facility which will actually replicate actual playing conditions. Cricket is played on a carefully prepared grass surface but almost 100% of practice facilities, indoor and outdoor are artificial surfaces of one type another. This development will see the erection of a framework from which will be suspended a movable net system utilising an already prepared grass surface. This system ensures the safety of participants and the general public. Only one similar system exists in the region and that is owned by Durham County Cricket Club and its use is severely restricted.

Aims of Project
Durham City Cricket Club is a thrivingg, growing amateur sports club dedicated to the development of cricket for men and women, girls and boys. Currently we supply a number of a youngsters to the county junior sides, both boys and girls and have one or our women players on tour with England.
