New Heating System, St Michael & All Angels Church, Abbey Wood

This project aims to install a modern, efficient heating system, which will have a life in excess of 50 years. It will entail the installation of two wall-mounted gas condensing boilers and 22 radiators. These will heat the building to maintain a background temperature of 11C and occupied temperature of 19C. The benefits of the project are that it will make the building more comfortable, whilst also being more efficient and environmentally friendly. It will provide and care for the fabric of the church building in the colder months, as well as the various furnishings, ornaments, and other contents. It will also provide a suitable and sustained heating level for the historic three manual pipe organ.
