New interpretation at Temple Bruer preceptory

The preceptory at Temple Bruer was founded in the mid 12th century by the Order of the Knights Templar. The building is of national importance and is the only Templar site in Lincolnshire still to have standing remains. It is a Scheduled Ancient monument and a Grade I listed building and an extremely rare example of its kind in Britain. The funding will improve physical and intellectual access to the site by providing new internal and external interpretation, and by making improvements to doors and gates.
