New Nets for Illingworth St Mary’s Cricket Club

The club’s existing cricket practice wicket was built in 2002. After intense use over the years the surface is worn out with a number of holes and threadbare sections. The surface is not full length comprising batting pads and bowling pads with an infilling between of lower grade carpet which is worn but has also lifted and become distorted. These factors create a very variable bounce which is dangerous particularly to younger players. SUEZ Communities Trust funding will pay for the supply and construction of a new 2 bay full length non-turf cricket practice facility.
