New Official’s Facilities and Renovation of Original Facilities, Wolviston Cricket and Football Club, Teesside

This is a project to make improvements to the clubhouse at Wolviston Cricket and Football Club.

The clubhouse, used by both cricket and football clubs, requires two officials’ rooms with toilet and shower facilities in order to comply with league rules for both clubs. A new official room will be built and an existing room renovated. Both are needed for males and female officials officiating at games. The project will improve the facilities within the clubhouse and will allow both clubs to hire out the grounds and clubhouse to the local community, including local primary, junior and comprehensive schools, Hartlepool United Ladies Team, charity games, local businesses, the NHS Open Day, Police, league cup finals, and women’s cricket teams.

The clubs hold open days to attract potential players, families, and the local community. Both clubs have around 100 members each.

Environmental considerations: Up to date materials that are environmentally friendly are to be used by builders, together with energy efficient lighting and heating systems.

Hard to reach considerations: The club holds Open Days to attract all sectors of the community, and communicates its activities via local newspapers, BBC Tees Radio, and social media.
