New Orleans Estate Environmental Improvements

The project involves the development of the football pitch, and adjacent recreational area. While the run-down pitch will be developed into a multi-use games area, the adjacent underused area will be transformed into a community space. New surface, benches, bins and planting will invite for sitting and relaxation while new lighting and improved entrance ways enhance security and access. The project fosters community cohesion through involving residents in the planning, design and implementation, while addressing issues of anti-social behaviour. Improved facilities will also encourage greater participation in sports and recreatiion and contribute to the well-being of residence
