New roof for Victory Hall

The roof of Victory Hall is now almost 100 years old and is becoming impossible to maintain. The original slate tiles disintegrate on touch when attempting repairs. So the plan is to replace the roof in its entirety, including some 40 year old flat roof sections, add insulation (there is none now) to a specification agreed with local Building Regs officers and renew the facias, dormer windows and guttering. In this way we hope the hall will still be in use in another 100 years.
If we don’t do this, the future of the hall will be in doubt until we do as the leaks and the resulting damage to the building fabric will continue.
