New Town Community Group

The New Town Community Group has been working with local residents and Colchester Borough Council to identify a way to fund and construct a new 2.3 meter high boundary wall/fence between Old Heath Recreation Ground and Falcon Crescent.
In April 2006 an inspection of Old Heath Recreation Ground found that part of the boundary wall at the side and rear of 16 Falcon Crescent was leaning into the Recreation Ground and had loose bricks.
From the inspection, it was recommended that the entire section of wall that is bowing outwards should be carefully removed so as not to pose any future risk of collapse.
