New wetland nature reserve - Thames Estuary - East London

Purchase of 800 acres of land in the Thames estuary in East London (perceived locally as "waste land") and turn it into London's premier nature conservation site, through restoration of ditches, silt lagoons and reedbeds. The habitat improvement will be undertaken first, with visitors' facilities to follow, probably 3 years' on. (Self approved project)
