New Windows & Doors in Clubhouse

To replace all (11) rotten wooden windows and 3 doors in the Community Cricket clubhouse.
The Recreation Ground, Glynde in the centre of the village is home to the community clubs involving Cricket and Stoolball and is the location for the village swimming pool and fishing club. The Clubhouse was erected entirely by volunteers in 1976 and is of wooden construction under a slate roof. In spite of an annual maintenance program by the members, after 40 years of exposure to prevailing weather, it is in need of significant repair and renovation. The plan for this has now been developed by members. A significant problem has been the rot and decay in the existing wooden window frames and doors have been repeatedly filled and painted over but such remedial work cannot form a realistic plan for the long term. Replacement of these therefore constitutes an important project for us.
