Newbiggin Skate Park Project

Newbiggin Skate Park is an existing facility which is in need of refurbishment, it is unsuitable for use in dark and wet conditions with some equipment being damaged and unsafe.This project will make physical improvements to the current surface and ramps which are poor quality. The damaged/missing fencing surrounding the park will also be replaced. Floodlights will be installed so the facility is accessible during evenings, this has been identified as a barrier by local parents and young people.Plans have been provided by different Suppliers and young people have given their opinion on which designs they prefer. Once funding is secured, further consultation will be carried out with young people so physical improvements satisfy their needs and demands and are incorporated within the tender brief.
