Newbridge Park Community Wood, Pickering: enhancing access, facilities and biodiversity

Newbridge Park is a community wood on the outskirts of Pickering, North Yorkshire. Maintained by a local volunteer group, it provides green space and outdoors facilities for local people e.g. mountain bike trails and woodland walks. This project will enhance public access to the woods, improve family facilities and woodland biodiversity.

The work will comprise three major activities:
• Improving the main public footpath which passes through the woods
• Restoring and improving the family picnic area
• Further woodland management work to enhance biodiversity

We need capital funding to pay for materials and equipment to carry out the above work. All time input is provided free by local volunteers.
