Newburgh Children’s Play Area

This is a project to purchase and install a new play area for the children of Newburgh. To deliver the project the applicant will need to repair two areas of ground in an existing grassed area, create a new entrance for the public from the thoroughfare, fence the perimeter, lay safety surfacing and install a range of play equipment. The land, which is leased from the Diocese of Liverpool, is currently unused. The objective of the project is to allow Newburgh children to have easy access to a play area and to provide the opportunity to increase physical activity. It will benefit the community as a whole because it will be available to all village children, a playgroup, and after school group, children attending the school, and visitors to the village. There are no play areas currently within the village.
