Newham Grange Park, Stockton – Park Regeneration

Newham Grange Park is near to Stockton Town Centre and serves Newham, Hardwick, Ragworth, Elm Tree and Bishopsgarth. Recent developments include construction of a new play area, improved security measures and biodiversity improvements. The Friends of Newham Grange Park wish to construct a footpath from Fir Tree Close, entranceway improvements, the development of a picnic area with bespoke seating and major improvements to the central area of the park. The footpath will increase accessibility into the park and help children get to the local primary school; the entrance feature will make the park a more attractive place to visit; the picnic area will provide an area in the heart of the park where people can enjoy the tranquil surroundings on seats and benches designed by local schoolchildren. The heart of the park will benefit from a face lift with proposals to revitalise the central area with new landscaping, including re- surfacing, seating and planting.
