Newlands Centre – Landscaping Project

Newlands Community Development Trust (NCDT) has secured funding to build the Newlands Centre, a community facility on land adjacent to the local primary school, that will serve Newlands, Lamancha and Kirkurd. General site and special landscaping to the Nursery area are part of the overall funding package but this application is to cover enhanced landscaping around the centre – :

An activity play area providing casual and structured outdoor play experiences for young people up to the age of 12, featuring play equipment, grass sculpted amphitheatre with timber seating, soft-surface play area, timber decking and toddler equipment.

An eco garden featuring a fenced wildlife pond with linked stepping stones, activity/learning area, polytunnel, raised bed area and seating.

Improved levelling of the 60m x 40m grass playing/sports field.

The relocation of a Victorian, dry-stone dyke from behind the adjacent school building to border access to the Centre.

A range of trees and shrubs.
