Newman Collard Playing Fields Playground Equipment

Newman Collard Playing Fields Trust (NCPFT) operates in the semi-rural village of Liss. The current play equipment is used by children under five, is 30 years old, is tired and lacks appeal. Playing equipment has been removed at neighbouring estates and a further 300 homes are expected to be constructed by 2028. This project aims to provide innovative and exciting equipment meeting modern day principles of play, which is accessible, multi-functional and includes diverse play opportunities to promote imaginative play. It will cater for children of all ages and abilities, promote inclusivity with provision for those with special needs and provide a high level of social interaction. Biffa Award is being asked to fund 82 per cent of the total project costs, to include the purchase and installation of 14 pieces of play equipment, groundwork, picnic tables, fencing and gates. Shortfall funding has been secured through Liss Parish Council.
