Newnham Armoury Village Hall kitchen renovation

The hall is the venue for the old people’s club, community library, youth club and other social groups. But the kitchen is damp with no radiator, broken tiles, an inadequate cooker hob and work surface and damaged cupboards. A transformed kitchen would allow the groups to use the kitchen safely and also enable the hall to be used by other social groups needing a kitchen. It has good disabled access and downstairs WCs, and we run a minimal Thursday café (no on-site cooking – income to hall maintenance) and Saturday café (no on-site cooking – income to local and other causes). It would be a great asset to be able to provide hot meals safely. We have other essentials in place, such as volunteer food hygiene certification.
