Newport Wetlands Project

The project aims to establish the Newport Wetlands Nature Reserve as an exemplar site for wildlife and people in South East Wales. We will create a class-leading interpretation and lifelong learning amenity maximising the potential for people of all ages to enjoy and learn about the unique landscape, habitat and wildlife of the Gwent Levels. We aim to engage with local communities, by devising community programmes, providing visitor interpretation and an array of outdoor facilities, affording new audiences the chance to enjoy and learn about the environment around them and to develop new skills in the process.
