Newry and Armagh Caring for Victims - Community Garden

The organisation, established in 2014, provide advice and assistance to victims of the NI troubles in the Armagh area through activities, initiatives and social events focused on bringing the community together.

The project will provide funding in support on the final phase of a community garden, which previous to 2022 has been a disused site for over 13 years. This phase will involve planting bushes and the creation of an accessible gravel pathway.
This phase focuses on creating a safe division between two levels of the garden via hedging, and improving accessibility through gravel surfacing and seating suitable for those with limited mobility. The garden functions as a multi-purpose space supporting mental wellbeing, community engagement, and therapeutic activity—particularly for individuals impacted by trauma associated with the Troubles.
