Newstead Wetlands project

The project is to restore 50m of river bank on the River Leen at Newstead with associated wet grassland containing a spring (which flows into an adjoining stream) and wet scrapes for wader birds in line with the Biodiversity Action Plan. We aim to restore the marginal and adjoining habitats to the river to a more natural structure.
