Nore Barn Woods - All ability footpath

Nore Barn Woods is 6 acres of oak and hawthorn wood on the shoreline of Chichester Harbour. The woods are used extensively for recreation. Improvements to date have been the replacement of steps with ramps and a path along two sides of the perimeter of the woods, which has allowed those with mobility problems to access the woods for the first time. The third perimeter which is the subject of this application is soft and muddy and is impassable for those with mobility problems at all times, and walkers in wet weather. The proposal is to improve a path of length 350m and width 2.5m by removing the old path, slightly raise the level of the path, and to surface in hoggin. This technique has already been used successfully elsewhere in Nore Barn Woods
