North Cheshire Barn Owl Initiative

The project will involve the making and erecting of some 60 barn owl nesting boxes over a period of some 3 years (20 boxes per year ) to help support and conserve the existing depleted population of this Schedule 1 protected bird.
The new boxes will be located to link with existing nest sites by way of new and existing habitat corridors.
The boxes wil incorporate cameras to enable the activities of the barn owl to be clearly monitored and recorded and will provide information crucial to a better understanding of this endangered bird.
