North Lisburn Community Gardens

The project will create a community garden to the rear of a newly constructed community centre. Features will be installed to encourage bio-diversity and promote environmental education and awareness, especially with younger people. This will include Swift boxes, wild flower planting and hedgehog homes. Raised beds would be installed designed to allow easy access by young people, older people and those with disabilities.In order to facilitate this, the outdoor area would be fenced, paved and grassed with raised beds installed, perhaps 3 or 4, serviced by a tool shed, poly tunnel/green house and composting bins
