North Watford Playing Fields

The main aims for this project are: - access and habitat improvements of public park in built up area of Watford. - creation of a woodland walk. - removal/chipping of some fallen timber, creation of habitat piles and removal of diseased or unsafe trees which will allow in more light into the woodland increasing the diversity of woodland understorey. - creation of a wild flower meadow in the south eastern corner of the park. This will be carried out by the local community through plug planting followed by meadow cutting by the local authority. - improved entrances to the park through additional planting & improved fencing.
