North West – Chorley Circular Walk

The project will create a circular walking linking important wildlife and heritage sites around Chorley, and engaging the local community in improving, managing and enjoying the area. The walk will link a number of key sites including Duxbury Woods, Yarrow Valley Country Park and Astley Park enabling safer access for walkers and cyclists and will enable access along a number of currently inaccessible routes. Engaging volunteers in the project will provide opportunities for training in various practical countryside skills, and the project will also engage the local community via wildlife and heritage related events at different sites around the walk.
