North Wynd Wildlife Garden

To transform a previously neglected patch of overgrown ground in North Wynd Colinsburgh. The aim is to make it into a biodiverse wildlife friendly garden for the benefit of the whole community. We plan to include a bug house which can be built with the help of the local primary school pupils and the plants will be chosen to attract beneficial insects. A bird box will also be included. The planting will be sustainable and maintained by local residents. We will also erect an information board which will describe the reason for planting certain plants and what people can look out for when they stop to look. This piece of ground is on the route of a popular walk for residents and also leads up to the local football park so many residents will appreciate and enjoy the results as well as the people who live in the wynd itself.
