Northcliff MArsh Restoration Scheme

The restoration of Northcliff Marsh to significantly improve its value to wildlife throughout the year for several BAP species of national conservation interest. The work on North Marsh will be centred around restructuring of banks, creating a mosaic of reeds, marsh, fen and open water, creating muddy margins for waders, limiting disturbance, controlling water levels and the creation of scrapes. The most important work on the ponds will aim to increase the water holding potential whilst improving the surrounding terrestrial habitat for migrant and passage birds and amphibians.
