Northern Forest Partnership Project – Skipton Wood

Skipton Woods is one of our busiest woods across the estate in England, it is perfectly located near the centre of Skipton linking the Leeds-Liverpool canal with Skipton Castle. The Wood has a number of designated paths but due to the adjacent Eller Beck a number of paths are narrow meaning at some areas pinch points are created. This is the case on a 25 metre stretch that has been gradually eroded by increased footfall and flood damage. We are requesting funding to reinstate and reinforce the banking to prevent future damage as well as widen the footpath to allow visitors to pass each other safely.
