Northmoor Hill Woods

Bucks County Council is in the process of disposing of some of its countryside sites. The Colne Valley Park agreed to take on the 99 year lease for Northmoor Hill Woods to ensure that it is maintained as a public amenity. Groundwork act as the managing agent for the Colne Valley Park and will now be managing the Woods for the benefit of wildlife and the local community. It is intended that volunteers will be encouraged to take part in the day to day maintenance of the Woods.
It is proposed to purchase a vehicle as an asset to manage the amenity efficiently. Bucks CC have offered to sell the second hand Landrover which is especially adapted. It has a covered back with room for tools, a drop down tailgate which can be used as a work surgace etc. The site is a green belt area and as such it is not feasible to erect a building to house tools. These will be kept in the Groundwork offices (3 miles away) and this is also where the landrover will be kept overnight.
