Northside Welcome Centre, Erdington – Refurbishment

Sikh Nari Manch own and run the Northside Welcome Centre in Erdington, which is in 10% of most deprived neighbourhoods in England. The Centre provides a range of local services to adults including advice and guidance, employment support, computer training, confidence building, English classes, recreation and leisure activities to support healthy lifestyles, wellbeing, reduce loneliness and isolation. These Services are open to all the community. Most of our Service Users are older people, 40+ and we provide a welcoming, inclusive, informal and supportive environment for them to improve their employability, skills, self-esteem, make new friends and connections.
Funding is sought to enhance the facilities and Service-User experience at the Northside Welcome Centre by upgrading and refurbishing the Centre. This enables us to offer more services, cater for larger groups, deliver a quality and inclusive provision and increase income generation through letting.
