Nurtured by Nature

Nurtured by Nature (NBN) will provide volunteering sessions in Welshpool & Newtown to benefit residents and visitors of all ages and abilities, but particularly disadvantaged & hard to reach groups and individuals. The volunteering will be undertaken on MWT Nature Reserves & other identified green spaces within Welshpool & Newtown.The funding required is for staff facilitation of this project for 3 years. Although not part of this bid it would be expected that some volunteers will be enabled to apply for certification. We envisage that this certification could be in habitat management of for use of for example power tools.This Team of volunteers will manage the Nature Reserve. Maintaining its infrastructure & ensuring that it woodland & wetland habitats are kept in the best condition for the wildlife that they hold. A specific part of the bid is focused on the installation of new boardwalk.This will be undertaken by contractors & will ensure safe access to new areas of the site and its special wildlife.
