Nutfield Village Hall Planting Project

Nutfield Village Hall is used by the whole community. It is situated in the centre of the village on the main street next to the village school and opposite the village shop and post office. The front of the Hall has an open tarmac area and parking is restricted to Hall users. This is regularly taken advantage of with people parking to go to the shop or school or even to visit nearby houses. The space available means that cars overhang the pavement area. This makes it very dangerous for pedestrians including children, wheelchair and pushchair users. They have to walk in the road and can also be at risk from reversing vehicles. There is already parking at the rear of the hall for users, so we now want to install sturdy fixed wooden planters to prevent this unauthorised parking and increase the safety of the area. The associated planting will also greatly enhance the visual aspect of the buidling for all villagers to enjoy.
