Oakham Canal And Fishery Improvement Programme

Continued improvement of the Oakham canal for fishing and other recreational purposes. Increasing fish stocks. Provision of new fishing platforms to assist disabled anglers with waterside access. Canal bank improvement and maintenance to provide safe access along the length of the canal the Society manages. Canal weed control and habitat improvement for local wildlife such as water voles, bats and birds. Improving car parking to provide more off road parking facilities for anglers and other users of the canal.
