Ocean Connections

Ocean Connections is a public realm enhancement project intended to improve the engagement of visitors and residents with the astounding variety and interest of Plymouth’s waterfront location of Coxside and Sutton Harbour.

In excess of 300,000 visitors to the National Marine Aquarium and a further estimated 150,000 passers-by will provide the audience for a scheme that will vastly improve the public amenity through landscaped areas that will follow a maritime influence and 24 hour per day interpretation of one of the best waterfronts in the world. The project is aimed at increasing a feeling of ownership for the oceans through local connections.

Part of this project specifically addresses the creation of a maritime garden and associated improvement of the public spaces and information provided.
