Old Hall Marshes Habitat Improvement Project

This project will create new floodplain grazing marsh and enhance the existing habitat at RSPB Old Hall Marshes, by creating new scrapes, new and improved foot drains, new and improved water control structures and restoring sluices. The work will allow us to make better, more efficient use of the water on site, improving the habitat quality of the marshes. It will ensure that the reserve is more resilient to climate change. All of which will lead to an increase in breeding waders and internationally important wintering waders and wildfowl.
