OLD LIBRARY RENOVATION

Following various consultation meetings with residents, Councillors, and local businesses and schools it has become apparent that there is a need for community provision within this area. Old Illtydian RFC use the nearby rugby pitch so following 2 years of negotiating with Cardiff Council, Councillors and local schools and residents an asset transfer of the old library building was agreed with a 99 year lease from Cardiff Council. The aim is to repair, renovate and refurbish the dilapidated building to provide a building with equality and access for all for a large variety of community activities. The aim is for the premises to be used from 9am in the morning until 9pm at night with a wide variety of use for all ages and ethnicities, Please see sheet
