Old Moor Wood – enhancing biodiversity and improving access

To carry out small scale thinning work to areas of PAWS at Oldmoor Wood, ensuring reversion to an ancient woodland character by freeing the veteran oaks and poplar of excess competition, enhancing their conservation value.
To also carry out works to the existing open habitat network of small butterfly glades and provide better access for visitors so that they can experience the rich diversity and beauty of this woodland.
