Oldham Boxing Club, Oldham – New Roof (50081/D)

The project aims to replace the pitched roof at our existing premises, Victoria House. The property itself was constructed c.1900 and was used by a number of different services until approximately 1996. The property has been empty since this time. Whilst OBPDC have been successful in renovating and converting the property, the exterior of the building has been improved with limited resources. The works would entail:- stripping the existing clay rose tiles from the roof – felting the roof – replacing any damaged rotten timber battens – replacing any good rose tiles and replacing damaged tiles – replacing any lead flashings around chimney stacks and skylights – replacing damaged timber gutting – replacing missing stone corbles – repairing any damaged stone corbles – carrying out stone repair works to the decorative finishes and lintels on all elevations.

The Trust grant will contribute towards the new roof.
