Omagh Riverside Walk and Cycle Path – Phase 3

Development of Phase III of a 2.3km walk and cycle path alongside the River Strule on former MOD lands in the centre of Omagh town. The path will join communities from the Strathroy, Hunters Crescent and Derry Road estates and also provide a link to the town centre opening up access to areas of land previously inaccessible to the general public. The river has not been subject to construction along its banks and the natural resource if affords remains as a legacy and rich asset for recreational purposes. Phases I and II of the project are now complete (project reference 710382.499) and phase III will shortly go to tender.
