Otford Pond Renovation Scheme

This is a project to restore the pond in the centre of the village of Otford, near Sevenoaks. The restoration will involve the drainage of the pond, including catching of fish therein; transportation of fish to agreed location; enabling pond to dry; de-silting of pond using hydraulic excavators, and transportation of silt by road to an area on or near graveyard; excavation of deeper area in middle to form dish shape; inspection of perimeter walss for damage; supply and installation of new pudding clay base and compaction in layers; level and tidy tip area; tidy site.
