• Extend our education provision to inspire people of all backgrounds from birth to adulthood.
• Ensure all education programmes have a clear environmental and wildlife theme and are sustainably sourced.
• To provide the opportunity for every person in Essex to engage with the natural world and value its importance in their daily lives.
• To ensure the land around our NDS provides the optimum opportunities for a great wildlife experience, expanding and diversifying our engagement offer.
• The provision of a public amenity for the purposes of education for the local community and throughout Essex.
• Greater public access to the nature reserve. Providing a space that could be hired or used by local clubs, organisations and community groups.
• Protecting both the natural and social environment through educating future generations on how to protect nature, the local environment and enhance their social environment with greater wellbeing for individuals and the influence they will have on others.
