Outdoor Classroom and Chillout Area

The project is proposed by the Calvert Trust, which has provided advnturous outdoor activities for over 70,000 disabled children and adults over the last 36 years. The users of the residential site, owned by the Trust, have requested a covered, outdoor space for educational and recreational activities in the gardens, as a previous, unsafe structure had to be demolished during recent building work. The proposed facility will provide a welcoming group space for multi-purpose use, from outdoor classroom for school groups to social barbecues, from working on tasks set by teachers/instructors to quiet relaxation. It will include a sensory garden feature and will have a view of the lake.
