Oxey Mead nature reserve managment

This reserve is an ancient flood meadow and the low soil fertility is maintained by a hay harvesting and grazing regime which benefits the abundant flora and fauna on the site. This project would ensure the grazing regime is maintained and that trees are pollarded to keep them healthy and ensure they don’t encroach on the open meadow areas.
