Oxfordshire Fens Project – Barrow Farm Fen

The project aims to protect and restore the very special plant and animal communities of alkaline fen, which are amongst Britain’s most threatened and precious wildlife habitats. Oxfordshire has many alkaline fens, but most have lost key species due to scrubbing over and drying up. This application is for funding to continue the restoration of one of three fens by clearing tall woody growth, mowing, re-wetting and studying plant reintroductions potential.
